Representative democracy is not working for the majority.

We believe people should be in control of their own lives, and to do so it is essential that they have more control over decisions that affect their lives. We also believe that all citizens have the right to make their own personal choices based on their own interests. We do not agree that it is the role of politicians to dictate to people what to do.   

Digital Democracy gives voice to the victims of big corporations and corrupt governments. We are the 99% and we must work together to stop the abuse of power, bribery and secret deals that damages our personal and public finances.  

Digital democracy as a political system offers an opportunity for real change. Who would you trust most to look after your interests than yourself? 

Most of the wealth generated by our work is controlled by politicians and bureaucrats and not enough by us. When those in power make “tough choices” about cutting government expenditure, their decisions affect us disproportionally. A very sizeable proportion of the cuts affect our well-being directly while the dominant 0.1% usually benefit from these measures. They are protected in the name of “economic recovering.” This is reverse socialism because the 99.9% produce the resources and the 0.1% benefit from it. Digital democracy as a political system offers an opportunity for real change. 

Digital democracy also known as e-democracy is a form of government in which all adult citizens are presumed to be eligible to participate equally in the proposal, development, and creation of laws. Digital Democracy encompasses social, economic and cultural conditions that enable the free and equal practice of political self-determination.

Today we can bank, read the news, study for a degree and chat with people all over the world through the internet and our smart devices. At the political level, Digital Democracy  can be easily incorporated to governments initiatives to increase public involvement in politics.
